It's the morning of the wedding and all the groomsmen get together ahead of time. We all get dressed in our suits, mind you they are Baby Blue and White Checkered Flannel Suits. Tommy was excited about the flannel.
We get to the church, IC not Saint Mary's, and it's absolutely packed. All the girls process in, not one by one, but the 4 of them (Jessica's not there) just walk in together as a group nonchalantly without flowers or anything. But instead of Tommy and Sam being on the alter, they sit with bridesmaids and groomsmen in the pews. The priest starts talking as someone walks around passing out the programs as well as ink pads and rubber stamps. It's time for the first reading, and 4 people all walk up to the alter to do the reading, they realize that not all of them could do it so only one of them goes up to the podium. I had no idea who any of these people were and then I realized that although it was only Tommy and Sam on the alter, there are about 4 or 5 wedding parties in the church.
During the first reading, Danny's cell phone goes off. Of course he answers it. It's a girl, apparently from Germany, so he gets up and walks out of the church to talk on the phone, like it's no big deal. The first reading goes on, and Billy and I look at each other "isn't Danny supposed to do the responsorial psalm?" He was. First reading ends and then five more people all walk up to do the responsorial psalm, none of them Danny because he's still out on the phone. Instead, Michael J Fox goes up there to do it. And he decides to sing it, and at least in this dream, Micheal J Fox absolutely sucks as a singer, his voice cracked the whole time and at one point you couldn't even hear him sing.
I was supposed to do the second reading and I was ready to walk up there and fight all the other people to get to the podium to do the reading. Instead, Obama walks in, like it's nothing. Goes and stands next to Tommy and waits for Tommy to recognize him. They greet each other and President Obama congratulates him. Then he walked up to the podium and starts talking about a new bill that's going to be talked about in the house of Representatives, which has no significance at all to the wedding, then he went on a rant about the newly elected female governor of Delaware and talked about her for a while.
Someone turned to me and said, "maybe we should have gone to St. Mary's." He left and I was getting ready to walk up to do the reading, but instead I woke up to Tommy's alarm clock and the dream was over. But yeah, it was pretty weird.
